TalyaGalasko

Talya Galasko is a writer and director from Cape Town. Her immersive storytelling ability and meticulous eye for detail have allowed her to develop a unique and recognisable film language. With an Honours degree in Politics from UCT and a Journalism Programme from NYU, Talya brings original thought and creativity to directing. Her experience as both a writer and film editor means she is hands-on and precise, and involves herself from concept development all the way through to post-production.

Her first short film earned her Bokeh’s Best Global Emerging Talent in 2020, and her work has screened at festivals in New York, Toronto, Berlin, Paris and more.
